Anyone know WTF is up with Integy. I ordered a part (Assoc sc10 alloy gear box), through my lhs back in May 2011--still waiting for it.

I'll stick up for Integy. I've found their parts quality (at least the anodized alloy parts I've purchased) to be better than most (i.e. 3Racing, Dynamite, GPM), and although I've only ordered from them twice, the service both times was excellent....

I thought this was pretty cool!

New from Italian company Laurus is the EC1 Colibri, a unit for bench testing engines. Suitable for a wide range of engine size past 3.5cc, it puts the engine under load during running to simulate on track usage...

i remember years ago, readding a rcca car article and someone made or sold or had a dyno, that would measure rear wheel power off a car. it basically hooked up the same way a regular car does, onto 2 metal cylinders and the power was measured at the...

So growing up I started in R/C when the comm was king but being only a young kid all I ever had were Traxxas stinger motors in my pede and rusty. The last year or so I gave up on BL and went back to the old standard and started buying up used motors...

I miss the comm cutting days. I still have my Hudy motor lathe and a tool box full of brushed motors.

Just getting this started. It'll be a little while before I can put any data together.

Anyway, I picked up this Bud's motor dyno, complete with box, instructions, and a couple motors.

For me, it's just something else to amuse myself with. I like building and tinkering with stuff, and this fits perfectly.

Let's be honest. I paid $50 for it and it came with two motors. Even if I never touch it again, I'm not out much.

Back in the 90s I used to have a motor dyno that I would like to find again.

From what I can remember it was about 6x9x2 in size. Two sweep needles One for amps and one for rpm. The motor sat facing into the box and was held with 3 finger screws....

The Shinwa Motor Dresser allowed you to measure amp draw versus rpm. I was great when determining the differences in brush cuts and motor timing.

When I was a lad I never had the money to spend on a Dyno and probably never saw the need at my level but now I find myself curious about them , I guess I'm trying to work out how curious in relation to cost !
I have an inductive loop digital amp...

Last post

The amp draw goes hand in hand with temperature increase , its easy to wind on a lot of timing to make a motor run faster but it gets very hot therefore inefficient and the motor cooks and dies , there's a sweet spot with timing where it increases...
