Yokomo MX4 restoration
Long waiting this one and finally I've now got to it!
Hope you enjoy the pics!
Didn't want to go "decal happy" and detract from the shell design.
Another build...but maybe another time!
More to come soon...

Re: Yokomo MX4 restoration
Awesome fully carbonised!
I like it...
You are missing a screw at the rear end of the top deck (where it attaches to the upper half of the rear gearbox)

Re: Yokomo MX4 restoration
i was wondering what comes to the next after i saw the body before.
KO 297FZ and LRP IPC was my first setup with sanwa erg servo. now mine got V6 with slightly older airtronics servo.
MX-4 and losi XX4 were the first modern 4wd racers to me. i like them both. but MX-4 prototype still is the best buggy i've ever seen. yeah I know i'm a yoke freak
thanks for sharing the nice pics with amazing spare part lot

Re: Yokomo MX4 restoration
I'm going to start racing mine again after about a 13 yr hiadus. I dig this car. I had a YZ-10 World's Team car prior to this. i gotta dig up the pics of that one. Are you guys having a tough time finding parts now?

Yeah Yun Fei. The YMP looks awesome! I wonder how it drives too.
I know you have this kit! Have you run it?
I have it's younger brother - the mr4bx which is another really nice car!

Re: Yokomo MX4 restoration
That looks like a great car! Still have the vintage electrics too! Is that tekin esc the same masami used in the worlds? This esc also had a yokomo logo on it!
I've fortunately got enough parts for another runner build and spares. But it is becoming difficult to find certain bits such as the main chassis.

Re: Yokomo MX4 restoration
By far the hardest to find are the slippers. I have 1 MX-4 and 1.5 MR4-BC but only 1 slipper to share between them.
The spur is another one to worry about for a runner... especially when running without slipper

Re: Yokomo MX4 restoration
These are smart looking buggies indeed. Never considered one before seeing this thread but now I may have to try and find one.
