goldpan turnbuckles

Post by wiremonkey73 »

What set of turnbuckles can i get from my lhs and modify if i have to with my dremel. Im tryin to not get em off ebay. And i only want 6 not all 8 i dont need the servo to bell crank and the 1 that connects the bellcrank together. Its about time i replaced the 440 tie rods junk and worn out balls so i might as well upgrade

I just replaced all the turnbuckles and ball ends with new from Towerhobbies. I just ordered the ones I needed. If you search their site with parts numbers you are looking for they will pop up with the correct length ones.

do you not want to pay ebay vintage prices, or just not want to use ebay at all?

There are some deals to be had there. If it is a runner and you don't care about period-correctness, you can get a full set of ballstuds cheap from one of the kit splitters, something like this:

Turnbuckle length will depend on the setup of your car, but I think that with some RPM long shank rod-ends

you could make these $1 AE titanium turnbuckles work:

Tower has a set made by AE for the original RC10. Has anyone tried these? Im just wondering about length if the fronts are for the old style narrow arms or the wide arms? Im runnin a set of Andys front and rear so I wanna make sure they are long enough before i order and yea I know my rear arms are the same length as stock so the rear rods dont matter im just wondering about the fronts
