93 WCS replica…..M3 belt lengths and pulleys?
93 WCS replica…..M3 belt lengths and pulleys?
Hi, first post…..long time lurker
I have a good majority of parts to put together a 93 WCS runner, with some bits including the chassis, shock towers etc being genuine.
I don’t want to run the M2 fine pitch belts…..what pulleys and belts do I need to run if I go M3?
Any help would be awesome

Re: 93 WCS replica…..M3 belt lengths and pulleys?
There's ZC and ZD part number prefixes?
My 93 uses a ZC-656 rear belt and a ZC-651 front belt.
As for the pulleys, they are also available as ZD/ZC-503. The ZD is 33T, the ZC is 35T.
Associated also has a YZ10 parts list PDF.

Cheers fellow Kiwi!
However, there won’t be a part number for the 93 WCS car with M3 Belts, as the very few kits that were made were only ever M2 Belt driven.
The parts list you have there will be for the “Works” cars not the “World Championship Special” which was a oddball mix of Works 93 and Works 94 cars (Pre 94 back end and Post 94 front end) and ran a belt longer than the Pavidis (the longest listed M3 belt).
After some sleuthing we have managed to work out it should be 175t with the 35t pulleys

@SubboyHi, I'm curious, what 35T pulleys and outdrives did you end up going with for the M3 driveline? Is it basically 93 Works? I wasn't sure if that would fit on the front bulkhead. I'm building a 93 WCS too and want to run it M3. Thank you!

For the rear - any of the ZC pulleys from 870c to the works cars as it uses the older outdrives.
For the front - YZ-10 pulley as the diff outdrives will be different, I think that MX/MR 4 pulleys will work.

Re: 93 WCS replica…..M3 belt lengths and pulleys?
@Alex B Thank you for the information I have enough spare 870/Works pulleys so the rear should be no issue. The front was where I was getting jammed up b/c of said outdrives, but I'll see if I can locate an MX/R 4 pulley for the front. Also, sorry for the delay in response as I forgot to subscribe to the topic.
Re: 93 WCS replica…..M3 belt lengths and pulleys?
As above, the 870c rear diff is the same with a 35t pulley, the front uses a ‘95-‘97 front diff outdrive with a 870c pulley with Tamiya diff plates.
Re: 93 WCS replica…..M3 belt lengths and pulleys?
Thank you again for the information guys @Subboy Do you have the Tamiya diff plates part number by any chance? I'm not sure if I can source 95/97 front outdrives. They are not the same as the 94, am I correct?
