Re: Cougar 2 Works Confirmed!
The C2W transmission uses the same belt as the standard transmission, which means we have an easy upgrade path to add a slipper clutch to the early cars.
Resourceful, energetic folks always had a solution by piecing together bits from current cars and printing a pulley to add a slipper. But now lazy folks like me can just order U8703. The top pulley is the weakest link in the TC and Cougar re-res, so the 1 piece alloy layshaft solves that issue as well.

Some nice parts emerging on the horizon. Looking forward to roller driveshafts, pro shock bodies, slipper pulley, F&R roll bars etc

Re: Cougar 2 Works Confirmed!
I'm wondering if one of these 2wd aluminum pan buggies could have a Schumacher 4wd setup transplanted into it. The biggest part of that question is how different are the rear gearbox mount setups? I know there would need to be a belt pass through hole.

Re: Cougar 2 Works Confirmed!
It might end up just being a Cougar chassis pan under a 4wd buggy.

Here are the plans I drew up for a 4WD Top Cat with the Losi 5 link rear if you want to use them:

Don't let Schumacher get ahold of these plans! It could be disastrous for them!

Re: Cougar 2 Works Confirmed!
The mounting positions are way different or you could mid mount the cougar box and mod it to 4wd but why bother. you’d just buy a xls or procat where the hard stuff has already been worked out on a platform that was made for 4wdFrankentruck wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2024 10:04 am I'm wondering if one of these 2wd aluminum pan buggies could have a Schumacher 4wd setup transplanted into it.
