Team Losi giving credit to their World Champion drivers and the cars that got them there in 1999:
XXX - 1/10 2wd off-road buggy released in 1999. Molded composite mini tub with removeable nose and tail sections sculped to match the chassis. Narrow front bulkhead, replaceable a-arm mounting plate, shorter front arms and wider hub carriers, trailing style floating hubs and axle spacers allowed both narrow and wide wheels & tires to be ran while meeting IFMAR's width restrictions. Bulkhead mounted turnbuckle camber links in front of Hard Body coilover shocks on a shorter, rearward mounted, fiberglass plate shock tower. Turnbuckle adjustable bellcrank steering, built-in servo saver and adjustable Akerman angled back 30-degrees to match front kickup. Smaller chassis stiffening servo x-brace. Tail section incorporated a molded composite shock tower and shorter Hard Body coilover shocks. Rear arms from the XX buggy, 3-degree inner pivots, revised outer hub carriers, and turnbuckle adjustable camber links. XXX-spec, upright, 2.43 ratio, 3-gear, ball diff transmission. Aluminum motor plate, separate plastic motor cage and XX top shaft allowed use of the double slipper clutch, Losi's Hydra-Drive, or other aftermarket components. Steel universal style axles, single piece dish rear wheels front and rear with Losi Silver Compound Taper Pin tires out back and Losi Silver Compound Ribbed tires up front. Full bearings and a new clear lexan 4wd style fastback body and rear wing with molded plastic mounts.
XX-4 - 1/10 electric 4wd buggy debuted in 1997 the XX-4. Smoothly rounded graphite composite plastic mini-tub chassis with molded in saddle pack battery indentions. Cam adjustable motor mounted on the leading edge of the tub, double pad slipper clutch and triple belt drive system with front and rear mounted ball differentials and steel universal axles at all four corners. "Clicker" spring-loaded ratcheting gear to adjust off-power free-wheel in the front drivetrain. Akerman adjustable steering, 4-wheel independent lower a-arm/adjustable camber link suspension, molded composite shock towers, and Hard Body coilover shocks with adjustable collars. Molded 5 spoke hex mount 2.2 wheels, Losi Silver IFMAR Pin tires, Teflon sealed bearings, and tight fitting clear lexan body.
