In 1994 Traxxas would unveil their most advanced racing truck, the SRT. The Stadium Race Truck would replace nearly every component of the previous LSII in the same manner as the TRX-3 did for the TRX-1. Starting with a .125in shorter wheelbase flat plate fiberglass chassis, a new bolt-on front bulkhead attached to the leading edge and served as a mount for the fiberglass upper deck that sandwiched the ball bearing steering bellcranks from the TRX-3 and stretched back to a plastic battery box which connected to the rear bulkhead, the latter being carried over from the LSII. New lower a-arms front and rear would underpin the trucks 4-wheel independent suspension with turnbuckle upper camber links. Front caster and steering blocks as well as rear stub axle carriers would also be updated, and the front arms, each .125in longer, would be joined together by a fiberglass tie bar. New big bore teflon coated hard anodized aluminum oil-filled coilover shocks would be supported by revised black fiberglass shock towers. The TRX-3 would also donate its carbide ball equipped differential for use in the SRT's new Magnum 272 transmission. Traxxas cone dish wheels would once again be used but were now fitted with Pro-line Stubbie T tires in the rear and Pro 65 (same tread pattern as RC10T) front tires. The SRT would also wear the same clear A&L MFG Slam It S10 body as the previous LSII. This unassembled kit, with bearings, less electronics, would be the last professional level racing truck Traxxas would ever produce.
The SRT would also be the first model to introduce Traxxas' free replacement policy covering the lower a-arms, caster blocks, steering blocks, suspension arm mounts and stub axle housings against breakage:
