MRP KONG Ad
The Kong, released in 1986, was MRP's foray into 1/10th scale monster trucks. Built in conjunction with Hirobo the Kong sported huge off-road wheels and tires and a high mounted Ford F-150 truck body on top of a Hirobo 44B belt driven four-wheel drive chassis. Independent front and rear suspension, adjustable camber links and oil filled aluminum shocks attached to the Kongs plastic tub. Electronic duties were handled by the included 540 motor and mechanical speed controller:
