RC10 B3 Build

Post by Tang »

Hello everyone!

So I'm in the middle of restoring an RC10 B3. It was only lightly run up to this point, but has a mix of parts from other cars. A lot of B2 parts, and shocks from a B4.

Nothing wrong with having b4 shocks. The rears are shorter than they should be though. Keep an eye out for a pair of those threaded shock bodies in 1.32 and swap them in. They pop up every now and then.

The only B2 parts I see are the front arms.

Looks like you are right. I assumed the rears were, too, but they're not. I thought there may be a difference in the front end between the bumper and support, too, but apparently the parts are the same, I just have to reposition the brace/support. I have some original team shocks coming, but these B4's are set up nice. They leak a bit, but they dampen very well and are SMOOTH!

Pretty much got this car wrapped up. It's all original team car stuff except the RPM front bumper, rear bumper, gear cover, and the Lunsford turnbuckles. Oh, and I opted for the factory team gold shock shafts. I took it out and ran it a bit, and this thing is quick! Didn't use the Orion cells, instead a Reedy 2S lipo. Just waiting on a box art body that's a few weeks out. I have the original wheels and tires all mounted up waiting as well.
