RC10 build NOT using any RC10 parts...........
RC10 build NOT using any RC10 parts...........
Right where to start, can't load pics at the moment, don't know why, it just keeps asking me to log back in...
So here we go, I have a TQ Graphite chassis, brand new sat on my table.
Last week I bought a load of NIP Andy's parts, so good start there!
Not sure what to do gearbox wise, I have a spare MIP box, in good nick, not new but as good as I can find.
Hinges and turnbuckles, Titanium bits I have few new bits in packets.
Shocks, not sure what to use, may pop on a set of B4's for now, till I or you lot can think of any ideas.
Steering, got an alloy ball raced set ready to go.
Think that's the major bits for now!!
When I figure out why I can't load pics, I WILL photo it ALL and make every effort to finish a build on here!!!

MIP shocks would be a good option.
Did you check the size of your pics?

Re: RC10 build NOT using any RC10 parts...........
crp made front axles for the rc10 in stock/metric/truck styles. another option could be using losi xxx-cr front end parts so you can also run the xxx-cr star wheels.
Re: RC10 build NOT using any RC10 parts...........
CRP axles BOUGHT!!!
Think I've got some MIP CVD for the back somewhere......
Wish I could upload pics...
On-line album thing coming soon.... :-0

Tecnacraft front axles.
MIP or Hammad Ghuman VLT clear shock bodies and caps if you can find them.
Maybe an RPM tranny brace? Or the A&L brace used with the Lethal Weapon tranny.
Robinson Racing steering control system and rear adjustable arm mounts?
I like this build and can't wait for some pics.

Re: RC10 build NOT using any RC10 parts...........
i don't know. i don't think i would call a tq10 chassis an aftermarket rc10 chassis. it was a kit produced by associated and sold through horizon.
what your gonna end up with is a decked out tq10, not an all aftermarket rc10.
just my 2 cents.....

Maybe a fibrelyte graphite chassis would be the way to go for truly aftermarket?scr8p wrote:i don't know. i don't think i would call a tq10 chassis an aftermarket rc10 chassis. it was a kit produced by associated and sold through horizon.

Re: RC10 build NOT using any RC10 parts...........
I agree. I have the fibrelyte tub chassis and think its definitely a better 'non RC10' option than the TQ chassis. And it is über cool in the flesh!

Do, or do not! There is no 'try'!
RC; Boats, Buggies, Trucks, Bash's, Racing and of course 'VINTAGE'!
