Suggestions for a park basher please
I'm looking for a park off road basher, preferably 4WD, 1/10th
Nothing super pricey or collectible/vintage, equally I don't really want new new stuff.
Around £200 max would be my budget for a kit or roller that will need additional money spent - 2nd hand that needs repairs/radio etc thats fine
Would like to run a nice brushless system - possibly into the realm of 3s.... so a little bit mad, I really don't mind hunting for replacement parts, as long as they are likely to be available!
I have been googling this all day, almost settled for a Tamiya DF-03, like a Dark Impact, but the gearbox business is concerning when putting power through them. Does anyone else rate these? i'm aware that mods are available along with stronger gears.
Any other suggestions or experiences appreciated on possible chassis and/or makes/models other that DF-03
I'm in the UK
many thanks

It sounds like you need a Stampede.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

I would recommend the Stampede as stated above, or any other Traxxas. They are tough as nails and easily available and upgrade-able. Lots of parts support. The Slash is good too if you just want a fun rig to play around with.

Tamiya and replacement parts don't always go together very well.

Re: Suggestions for a park basher please
I have a TT02B and I really don't think it would make a good basher.
Everything including the dog bones, drive cups and gears are plastic and probably wouldn't survive long on 3s.
If Tamiya made the screws from plastic, nothing in this car would be metal.

Re: Suggestions for a park basher please
I'd take a strong look into the Losi 22S SCT, along with the general consensus Traxxas Slash or Rustler. I'd personally never get a Stampede, my brother has two of them (XL5 brushed versions) and it seems they constantly had something broken on them until he upgraded both top to bottom with more durable parts ($$$). That and I just don't care for the monster truck thing. On the other hand, he also has a Slash 4x4 VXL brushless and Rustler 2WD VXL brushless, and they're both badass tough units.
I also agree with a couple others here and would shy away from the cheap Tamiya stuff, and would not have much faith in them with 3s power.
