Identify these A&L Steering Set-ups

Post by rangerg »

Please help me identify these vintage A&L steering kits. I believe one for the Ultima and one for the Optima Mid? Which one is which? Or, is one for the RC10?

Thanks for the help!

the one with the extra offset hole is for Losi, the Ultima and optima mid use the same length bar except the mid has the center holes offset just a bit towards the edge for clearance. based on your pics, thats Ultima. I have rack bars for any of them if you need to convert.

It looks like you have the posts for 8-32 screws, the losi uses the smaller 4-40 posts typically. Only the rc10 series use the large ones. You could drill the chassis and use the larger screws, or if you need the right posts let me know and I’ll get you a few in the mail for the cost of a shipping label. They are the older fluorescent color ones and I have a few left over
