Should be pretty easy, the hard part of the 4wd conversion is in the front of the car, and all that will be the same between the rear and mid motor versions

Just saying! :)

I guess you'll build one of your cool stealth cases to just position the output shaft higher up??

Hardest part about mid-motor 4wd for me was maintaining the resemblance of an RC10. My ideas for it always get too far away from the original design. :?

Yesterday I designed up some new extended steering bell cranks real quick (to make up for the nose being in the long position). I left the boss for the servo connection off the left one because I was in a hurry and more concerned about checking clearance with the transmission case. I printed a set, in red for fun:

Testing them on the car, I immediately saw the link between the arms would interfere with the trans case, so I drilled a hole on each back a few tenths. Test fitting again and it fit perfectly. Next I need to assemble the steering on the right side of the car and see what the ackerman is doing. Depending on that I may need to tweak them and/or the steering blocks a little more.

Maybe someone could let you borrow a Winning Edge Pro-Steer kit for you to 3D print. Would be a neat steering solution for a 4wd car.

That's a cool setup! I think the bell cranks are going to work fine though. ;)

They work great. Still need to check ackerman though.
Sure is nice not having to wait 3 weeks to test every design change, lol.

Today i designed and printed a front belt guide/tensioner. It seemed to work pretty well.

next i need to finish designing the rear bulkhead with built in belt guide mounting. That's about the last major piece for me. Still hoping to wrap this thing up by the end of May.

I like your design idea of the belt guide/tensioner.

Thank you. I like to keep things simple, and I think this will do the trick.

A group of us tried them back-in-the-day, cool concept, but super fragile & easly clogged with dirt.
