I need Rpm front arm help

Post by NickTheGreek »

I had had bought a gold tub roller a while ago off the 'bay....

It had the short front arms.....
Anyway, I replaced those with the AE wide front arms and it was all good.

It was time for a re fresh.....I wanted to switch some of the dyed black parts with new white parts wherever I could, get some new springs...wide front axles.....n figured I'd try the rpm front arms...

This is where my problem is......The shock pivit ball doesn't fit between the arms. It's too big.
It fit fine in the short arms...fine in the wide arms....
Do I need a specific pivot ball with the rpm arms??

........
The pic doesn't really show the problem.....It's just a pic of what I'm doing....
I just started the one side n got stumped ...

Yes, for those rpm arms you use the 7217 truck shock end balls

Thanks bro.....

Damn....I had grand plans of getting off work early tomorrow, picking up up a bunch of parts I have coming in and spend the afternoon and evening giving that gold tub a refresh and taking my worlds re re apart and giving it a proper "pimping" with all the trimmings.....
At least I'll get the worlds car done, but this ones gonna have to wait till next Wednesday for those parts to get here...
That's gonna seem like an eternity.

Thanks again.

......Looking at that pic.....I'm not digging the blue axle....
It ain't even my fault.
I order the part (#7222) listed in the worlds manual....I go pick it up and it's blue.
That part on Tower is shown in silver. On Amain,it's shown in blue......I ended up with the blue.

Same with the caster block.....I order the part(6222) out the WC manual which is white.....The part comes in and it's black...lol...
I'm trying

Thanks again for the input guys....

Aside from gettin sparks in my peepers, ( for a second, a brotha thought he was blinded) the dremel worked out good....

Hooked up the shocks, changed the springs....added some new white accessories...all new front end parts..jconcepts silver nose tubes I had laying around...new rpm gear cover...
(I had to get the front shocks out of the way, cause getting stumped from the get go....temporarily dampened my inspiration)

NOW, a brothas ready to bash.

Ah yeah babe.
