B4 hex bearing size

Post by askbob »

Dumb question, but what size bearings fit the B4 front hex conversion?

Assuming your using asc9880 to create a live axle in front. It should be using 3/8 x 3/16 with no flange. I did this conversion on my alloy build but I used a larger bearing for the 1/4" axle.

Id like to see how this goes b/c I've been wondering about this conversion too. The axle I see by jconcepts just looks odd so I've not been sure how it works.

Thanks DMAT, that is the part I'm using. I'm not able to test fit the parts right now and wanted to confirm the size since I noticed Acer has a good discount right now.

Just to mention it in case it's not obvious, the bearings for the hex conversion are the same size as the 'old-style' bearing-in-wheel design. No need to buy new ones.
