Im wondering if there were different belts for xx4 buggies vrs street weapon or rally. I know the rear belt would be different, because as far as I can tell, thats where the length difference is. However, were there different pully sizes, that would necessitate different belt sizes for front and side? Im trying to scrounge up parts to get my cars up,, and one is based on sw chassis, and the other is lwb buggy chassis.
Does tough racing make a sw rear belt? Do their front and side belts require a different pully width?

Re: Need some help with xx4 and StreetWeapon belts
All pulleys are the same width/diameter.
There were specific belts for the SW and the XX4, but the difference was in their durability. The buggy places more load on the belts and so are stronger than the SW. But you could use XX4 mid and front belts in the SW, wouldn't advise the other way round though.
As you mention, the rears are different lengths.
I am not sure about the rally, I would of though it used SW belts, but as above, the mid/front XX4 ones would work no problem.
There was a guy making rear belts for the SW on R/C Tech, I got one but it was VERY tight to fit, even on the loosest setting.
HTH.

Re: Need some help with xx4 and StreetWeapon belts
Thanks very much! Looks like the difficult one to find ill be the shorter SW rear belt then. I ripped into the cars last night,, and WOW! The buggy had mangled its front belt to the point it was shredded, and wrapped around the front layshaft pully,, and trying to force its way out through a thin spot in the top cover! So, when they go,, they go in a big bad way it seems.

The rear belt is a pain for Street/Rally Weapons. I have a guy who gets them custom made. If you need them, I can hook you up.
I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

Re: Need some help with xx4 and StreetWeapon belts
I appreciate the offer. As it stands, the swb car will get built first, using all the good parts, then get sold,, hopefully..... Then, I need to buy some new parts for the long chassis car to complete its build,, and it will be my keeper. The short chassis car actually has a good rear belt, but I figured if i end up keeping it,, then yup, perhaps your friend can help me out. Short car will get stock dogbone UJ axles. Mykeeper gets mip lite CVDs! aaannndd,, those funky thin steel diff out drive covers,,,, plus a small pile of kinwald blue stuffs.
