After a very very pleasent welcome from very very nice forum members I want to show you my finished RC10 runner for 2014. It`s a hybrid between a team and worlds car with some - not too much - modern stuff.
ESC: LRP ICS
Servo: Ko Propo PS-1012FET
Motor: LRP X-4 motor can and GM 12x3 grooved armature; assembled and dyno tuned myself
Akku: still NiMH
Everything else as you can see on the pics. Take a close look at the wing tubes, they are a nice homemade solution. Details soon.
Kind regards
Raimund

Re: RC10 runner for 2014
Hi Raimund!
Nicely assembled RC10-worlds hybrid! Did you cut out the sides of the chassis yourself lately or was it done back in the day (early 90ies)?
Best regards!

That's one of the nicest runners I've seen! Very tastefully done.
. . . you have Associated Green Slime for brains. And not even new Green Slime, but old gooped out Green Slime.

Very nice.
Do you have downtravel limiters in the front shocks? Or not enough pre-load? Front and rear arms should both be ~ level at rest.

Hi helios1, 85Edinger, stickboy007,
thank you very much for all compliments!
@helios1: I`ve cut the nose plate and chassis sides on my own. Both sides are cut down to 18mm. I`ve included some pictures.
@85Edinger: I tried to do a very nice runner with not to many color mixes. I think that the blue/black line is kept streight throughout this build
@stickboy007: I use downtravel limiters in the front and rear shocks. I also have to use a 3mm travel limiter with a shock O-ring on the rear shocks that the car doesn`t bottom out. I also need them to prohibit that the MIP CVD`s rub on the outdrives. My pictures are made from different angles so it looks like if arms are not level. They are slightly lower than level because I run the lady on carpet at the moment. I`ve also placed the servo as close to the cut nose plate and the battery cup as close to the servo that I can place the battery as far forward as possible.
