Ko Ex1 addiction
Since my begin in RC world (in the early 90's), i 'm a Ko Propo Ex 1 addict.
I'm not really a collector but with the time i get 3 models of this line; an AM, FM and a Mars.
I always using my old Mars, i upgrade it with 2.4ghz device, which it allow me to get the smaller KR411fh receiver in my actual cars;
and bring back to a fm modul for my vintage cars
pics of my older models to come....

Re: Ko Ex1 addiction
You are in good company, my friend.
I too, love the Ko EX-1 model. I have had nearly every one save for the 2000 edition and the original AM
Green Gripped FM Version
Precious- I had in 1995 because I had a friend from HK have one shipped over.
Mars
Mars-R
EX-1 UR
As of right now I have:
Green Gripped FM Version
Mars
EX-1 UR= which I use.
Looking for a Mars-R, Mars 2000 and a Precious to complete the collection.
I also have the Helios which is "retired".

Re: Ko Ex1 addiction
I do love the EX1, the Precious, Mars..
I have EX1 UR in 27 fm. The only thing I don´t like is how she ´drinks´ the batteries.. I wonder if I get a 2,4ghz module batteries will last longer..

Re: Ko Ex1 addiction
believe the EXII was sold as a cheaper model with a 2ch receiverworks92 wrote: it's written EXII on it, but it really look the same as the EX1 of mid 80's...
if someone got info on this issue...
(skinny long thing, looked like a chewingum pack with only 2 plug sockets on its end)
and start of when they went with the road wheel instead of a steering wheel

Re: Ko Ex1 addiction
I have a Ex1 precious that didn't use for 15 years years. When it took it out of storage , put some fresh batteries in it won't turn on? Any ideas.
I already check and clean the metal tabs for for the battery tray and radio for any corosion. Anybody know what is wrong or experince this? I really want to repair it.

Re: Ko Ex1 addiction
Sorry, i never get any troubles with my KO's.
If the batteries positions and connections are good..., you got to go deeper and disassemble it
Did you use Nimh pack in the past ?

Re: Ko Ex1 addiction
Next to check is the sliding on/off switch. Disassemble the transmitter and give the on/off switch a good blast of Lectra clean or another sprayable alcohol, while operating it. WITHOUT batteries attached.
When the alcohol has vaporized You can apply the batteries and give it a try.
