B4/T4 top shaft on a T3

Post by henry »

Hello all. I've been doing some casual club racing with my old T3 just to get some extra wheel time. Anyway, I want to put the T4/B4 slipper/top shaft on it.

I've heard you have to shim up the topshaft to make this work.

For those that have done this, how many/thickness of shims did you need to make this work?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Same arrangement as the stock topshaft, its like a 3/16 x .050 on ether side of the topshaft.

The manuals are on AE's website. Same about of shimming as stock.

I put a MIP top shaft and dual slipper on my T2 without issue.
