Beautiful. How did you mount the splitters/diffuser, with double-sided tape?

Solid build, looks great! Love the work you did with the diffuser and skirts!

X3! I like the fact that it's an mk4 Jetta, I used to have one, a 1.8t, fun car!THEYTOOKMYTHUMB wrote:x2!a01butal wrote:That car looks great, doesn't get much better, a real work of art!

Thanks guys! I forgot how good it feels to peel the protective mask off a freshly painted body!
Ordinarily I would use double stick tape or shoe goo, but this time I actually used a hot glue gun on the low setting. You have to be careful or it can melt the lexan, but in some situations it's easier to get the parts into position and then glue them in place rather than sticking them on with tape and realizing its slightly out of position.Coelacanth wrote:Beautiful. cool I had an mk4 GTI, but have an mk5 now. ...which just died and got pushed back into the garage I think the HPFP went outmk-Zero wrote:X3! I like the fact that it's an mk4 Jetta, I used to have one, a 1.8t, fun car!

Really cool build! The attention to detail is amazing - right down to the ball stud dust covers!
