Oddball Circuit 1000 (scorpion/tomahawk/etc.) front tire..

Post by AscotConversion »

I have a set of fronts I found that look just like the typical Sand Super rib tire included with the Scorpion cars, but the logo is Bridgestone, and a small "Kyosho" in a box. No numbers at all. I will post a pic later...any ideas what this is? Does not look like an Ultima front...

Having Bridgestone on the sidewall should leave out the Circuit 1000 series.
Oldest will have Goodyear - Younger have Sandsuper. It must be an Ultima tire of some kind or very late run of Circuit 1000.
I found a site when browsing for Scorpion info a couple of months ago. It had the complete timeline of the Scorpion, with a write up on all small differences the models in between.

Can´t find it now, perhaps someone else remembers it.

That makes sense that it would not be a Circuit tire-the website you mentioned is very good. I just can't find any Ultima pictures with this type of tire. The only thing I did notice is the Ultima manual mentions SC-90 as an option part. Could they have made a run of SC-90 meant for aftermarket only, with a different sidewall? Weird.

When I searched for SC90 the above came up. It contains the description of the tire. And it seems like Your tires are not the SC90´s

But as You state the SC90 is recommended by kyosho as a tire for the Ultima´s.

That tire was also used on the Raider Pro ARR...(the one with the yellow wheels).
