My White Chassis Build
My White Chassis Build
I started a white chassis build from my first RC10.
These pictures are the chassis, nose plate, and shock bodies powder coated white.
The springs, wing tube, and front tubes are powder coated red.
Having trouble getting the pics to upload?

host them on photobucket, then use the "IMG" code directly where you type.

X2, even coated on outsides I was wondering if springs were going to bind?
Re: My White Chassis Build
I will put all black parts on this one. i built it up quick the other night to get some ideas, i got the body trimmed to get painted.
The shocks are not coated on the inside. The springs were old gold ones, they seem stiff now they are together. these might loosen up over time.

Re: My White Chassis Build
Looks great. When I made my first pass at an RC10 resto I did a white chassis (painted tho)... thought about powder coating the shock bodies but didn't know how they'd work with with the pistons.
Since you're not drilled for a stealth are you planning on a 6-gear or a MIP SP-1 tran? Speaking from experience the MIP looks real nice on a white chassis with black parts.

Re: My White Chassis Build
Very cool - I'm surprise how sharp white looks with the black. Now you need to find a motor that goes with the white/black theme. Great work!!!!
Re: My White Chassis Build
The shocks are the bottom load version, they plugged them with silicone before powdering them.
I will be using a black 6 gear tranny in this build. i have a few more parts to find for it, the shock bottoms in black should be here next week sometime.
The motor i have to check what i have and that i will tear down and get the can powder coated red or white, not sure yet.
