Nikko Brat help needed
Nikko Brat help needed
Hello I am new here.
I have a rebuild Nikko Dandy Dash and a almost complete Nikko Brat with a UP240 Goldtop motor.
I need some help with the Brat I lost one of my hinge pins. I was wondering if anyone knows which aftermarket hinge pins are suitable for the Brat?
Also I have plenty of dog bones for the Dandy Dash but the Brat does not use Dog bones, any aftermarket U joints that can fit the Nikko Brat?
Thank you

Re: Nikko Brat help needed
Hello
like I said I am almost done with the car, all I need to know is which aftermarket hinge pins and U -Joints will fit the Nikko Brat.
I also would like to see pictures of how the servo, esc, and radio are placed on the chassis so I can have an idea of how to put mine.
Thank you

Re: Nikko Brat help needed
Thank you for the manual but I already have it.
What I am really looking for is an aftermarket hinge pins and aftermarket U-joints that I can use to finish my Nikko Brat.
The hinge pin with a bulk head if possible. I also would like to see someone's set up in their Brat.
I want to see and get an idea of how the electronics are placed in the chassi.

I have a bunch of hinge pins, maybe I have some that will work. What's your measurement from e-clip groove to groove, and I assume they're 3mm diameter? I find that using a pin a few millimeters longer works just fine if you add a 3mm spacer just inside the e-clip to eliminate play.Bra84 wrote:Thank you for the manual but I already have it.

Re: Nikko Brat help needed
Is there a tool specifically for making the grooves in hinge pins? Obviously they're machined in mass production, but just wondering if it could be done at home with anything. Neatly that is... not hacking away with a Dremel and cutting wheel.Coelacanth wrote:I have a bunch of hinge pins, maybe I have some that will work. If you mount the hinge pin in a pillar drill with the slowest speed… then you can use a Dremel and a cutting diskTHEYTOOKMYTHUMB wrote:Is there a tool specifically for making the grooves in hinge pins? Thanks for the offers but I found the pin.
Now I want to focus on finding aftermarket U-joints.
