Alternative bodies B2? B3?
Hello, after a few months away from home I get back into RC again
I know this has been discussed a few times already but what is the update on the RC10 shells? Looks like nothing is hapening at Towers and Van's invent (Dahms bodies) seems dead with a web page...
So please tell me it's not the end of the story. There must be some alternative body shells that fit the RC10... Any reproduction available? Or even a different type that we can use?
I have parts to built several buggies now. I also have a few shells but I want a roller so I don't want to destroy an original body if it is the last one I'll ever see!
So what's going on?

I'm away from my toys at the moment if you do not have an answer when I get back to them I will check out the Sand Viper one I have but I think the Gator one would be better as it has a wider nose.
Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

I've cut the sides on mine to fit it on the ultima chassis:

Now, I can only give you the width at the nose when I come home in a bit.
Maybe let someone try it on a graphite first
If they can trace and fax the footprint of the shell for you...

what about parma?
Did they make any decent bodies for the rc10?
about 5 years ago(before any tamiya re-release happened)somebody on rcmt.com got parma to do a short run of lexan lunchbox shells.
Maybe we could get them to do one for the rc10.
IIRC, one person had to order them from parma and then sold them, cost about $25 per body, I'm not sure what he paid for them.

I've seen this Vanessa's lunchbox regularly on the shelves around Japan in the last months.
If this guy got them to make a short run, it must have been from an old mould Parma owns. That's quite different from creating something on order for a short run.
So, not very polite but an honest reply I'm affraid Rich'.

I used my B2 body on my double deck "world's" Composite Craft, but I also think it should fit a good old tub, just take care not to overtrim the bottom of the body because the B2 chassis was a bit higher on the sides...mrlexan wrote:David needs to post a pic of his B2 body on his tub car. It looks great. Or just go to reader's ride and look for his post as Assoman.
