Well, I finally managed to find a pretty cool custom made tuber chassis. Here is a teaser before I get and restore it, what do you guys think?

Yep a bit hefty like you said, but considering it has a complete brushless set-up, a transmitter and receiver I am planning to relist, it's not that much IMO for a unique custom model with aluminium rims, Losi steering and sweet tires... well, when you gotta get it, you gotta get it, I'm sure you know that better than memrlexan wrote:Daivd, that is very cool, but I remember the price.... a bit hefty. I do like the proportions, I think it has the best out of the ones I have seen.

That thought crossed my mind when I first saw it, but did not want to spend that kind of money on one thing. I glad to see it went to someone who will appreciate it though. We all expect pics when it is done.Asso_man! wrote:Yep a bit hefty like you said, but considering it has a complete brushless set-up, a transmitter and receiver I am planning to relist, it's not that much IMO for a unique custom model with aluminium rims, Losi steering and sweet tires... well, when you gotta get it, you gotta get it, I'm sure you know that better than memrlexan wrote:Daivd, that is very cool, but I remember the price.... a bit hefty. an other good reason for me (and I know I don't have to justify myself) is that 1$ = 0.73 Euro...

stealing in on the tread:
Does anybody know the graupner or robbe gas cars with tubular chassis?
They were on the market around the same time as Graupner carried the dogfighter; the version with 3 shocks and chaindrive.
Those were really awesome.
To make up for the stealing:

Not RC but back to the roots of sandrails, you'll love the vintage pics

Well, I'm soooo happy, it arrived today and I think it is AWESOME! The tubing is very well done, nothing bent, just a few scratches on the top... motor plate looks like it has been cromed and the chassis has been sandblasted, I plan on the long term to custom make a graphite chassis, but that will take some time... many parts have to be replaced and fixed, time for the show now, stay tuned...
