Oh no, now everyone knows what I look like! Yeah, that was back in my touring car days with Schumacher. That was a great race actually, I didn't do that well, but the night life in Vegas can't be beat! We trashed our rental car, won a gang of money at the roulette tables... and then spent it all at the Spearmint Rhino. Those were the days

Re: Paging Mr. schumacher - jeff "jaydub" wittman
I don't remember the name of the track anymore
. I remember it was in the middle of nowhere. There was a big 1/8th scale off-road track, and then this onroad track. It was a trying race because it was very windy, and the track was constantly getting dust blown onto it. This makes on-road very difficult btw
. This is the only time I ran a 1/10 scale pan car without any tweak screws. I would have never thought it would have worked, but it was the only way to get the cars hooked up!
I remember that Schumacher was working on an adjustible one way for the front drive at that time, and only one of us (team manager Paul Wynn) had it for his car. I think it was a great option for the loose track, because you could dial in or out front brakes to stabilize it on low bite surface. I don't remember Dave being there though. I only raced with him a hand full of times, while he was with Schumacher. He seemed like a nice enough guy however. Paul and JR Mitch did well at that race, as well as me and Dominic Favorito. That track (because of the constantly changing conditions) really favored a more consistent driver, rather than one with tons of motor or battery.
Touring car racing with Schumacher in the early days was usually pretty good, but they didn't keep up with technology changes and the cars got dated. It took too many years for them to develop another competative platform. I tell you what, I spent allot of years banging my head into the wall
.
Thanks for the post, as I haven't seen that one in a while. -Jeff
