1.9 TIRES?
HI!... Is there any company that still makes 1.9" tires that fit the vintage RC-10 wheels? I have tons of RC-10 1.9" wheels but no tires for them.
Thanks :
Neal.

Re: 1.9 TIRES?
i know rc4wd.com sells lots of 1.9's, not sure if the tires would fit, check the width of ur wheels, and if the width of the rc4wd are close, you should be able to put them on, but most of em are rock crawling tires =/

Re: 1.9 TIRES?
Fronts or rears? Losi still makes a 2.0 rear step pin tire, I think Traxxas still has a 2.1 front knobby that works.

Re: 1.9 TIRES?
The 1.9" Rock Crawling tires do mount right up on the 3 piece wheels from a 1994 C.E. kit.
I'll break out the digital calipers tonight and post some numbers.
They're a little bit taller than the tires that came in the kit but they look aggressive!
I'm in the process of whipping my 94CE back into runner shape but trying to stay as "vintage" a feel as I can with it, except the tires and electronics.
I posted some pics over on Hobzob of my pseudo-resto project that I'm currently working on. Claymore5150 over there, too.

Re: 1.9 TIRES?
Actual diameter (mounted ProLine Chisel g8 1.9" crawler tires) is right in the neighborhood of 3.45" total diameter.
Here's another pic with a clear body/wing on board with these tires that I took last night...

those look like a decent general bashing tire, would work well for the sand pit!Claymore5150 wrote:Actual diameter (mounted ProLine Chisel g8 1.9" crawler tires) is right in the neighborhood of 3.45" total diameter.

Re: 1.9 TIRES?
you should custom narrow another pair for the front...that would look great.

Re: 1.9 TIRES?
They are UBER soft and pliable. I think asphalt will eat them up very quickly with a hot motor (probably going to be putting a 540 15T2w on it, maybe slap 3500kvs once in a while with 2s) but I intend to run it predominately on a loose but short/tight track.
But yeah, I'm thinking they'll make for a really nice bashing tire, especially since they run around 15-16 bucks at Tower and most LHS. I'm also gonna guestimate that they are a lot better than stock wide pins are on the loose stuff because the tread pattern is so aggressive yet soft.
We'll see as time will tell the tale eventually. I hope to put power to ground this weekend with it at some point. I may start with the green machine 2 before I throw the 15t at it. I think I'll keep it at 6 cells to start with, as well. May bump it to a hump 7, but it's Lipo ready whenever I get froggy...I just want to have bearings in the Stealth tranny before I throw that kind of juice at it but they won't be here until next week.
I'll post some final pics after I get a couple "shake down" cruises in under the belt and then clean it up for a photo shoot sometime in the next couple weeks.
