Where to get motor wires (seems simple)

Post by flipwils11 »

Maybe I'm not using the right search terms. I just want motor wires with the little plugs inline so that I don't have to hardwire the motor to the ESC. I tried Tower and AMain but I'm probably using search terms that are too general.

wire:

bullet connectors:

I'd go with 3.5mm or 4mm, and heat shrink up as much as possible so no metal is exposed when they they are connected. I'll put heat shrink on, then trim back with an exacto. Put the male ends on the motor wires so you don't accidentally short the output of the any ESC you might be using.

alternatively, most LHS' stock stuff like this.

Great, thanks. I was going to order some stuff from Tower and wanted to include it all. My error was thinking there was something with both items ready to go (i.e. connectors crimped/soldered to the wire already).

these work just fine, of course you can cut the no-solder clip off and solder directly to the motor.
