MIP gold shafts and AE gold shafts

How different are these?
I can see the thread look=s a bit bigger on the AE but it could be only a color difference.

I like MIP stuff, but when it comes to shock shafts, I have found the coating on the MIP's to wear off sooner than others. However, they are usually cheaper. -Jeff

I have been working on a kyosho rocky it started out to be just a rocky I have turned it into a turbo rocky but I can't find any gold drive shafts for it are they that rare or just in high demand I saw a set on ebay before I got the rocky so if...

Can anyone confirm what thread is found on the Kyosho Gold shock ends & shafts? I'm guessing it's 3mm but could it possibly be 2.5mm? TIA

Hi guys.
I want to rebuild some of my Option House gold dampers with new shock shafts. I feel the original shafts are a little short and would be happy to find something a little longer should they be out there. Even if this means adding spacers on...

I'm currently rebuilding a set of Gold shocks for a forum member trade. Tonight I can update this topic with the exact length of the shafts F & R, and maybe some additional info on aftermarket parts. Stay tuned.

Do MIP shocks shafts for Losi shocks work with Associated shocks? I don't know if the shaft diameters and piston attachment methods are the same.

Also, did MIP make suspension hinge pins back in the day?

Yes. The blue Eagle LS and Rustler share the same part numbers for the outdrives, driveshafts, and stub axles. Rear arms are the same length between the two as well.

I decided to rebuild the shocks on a DS I picked up recently and didn't like the scratches on them. First stop was the manual for part #'s and then Tower which had it, #8845, in limited quantities so I ordered 4 and got the bounce back that only 2...

Put the gold shafts in front,makes it look nicer and the front tends to move up and down more than the rear.The rears you really cant see so who would notice the difference.DON

Anybody no if the universal shafts for the re-re optima will work on an Optima mid?

The modern stuff is pinned vs the taper, but on the ultima for example both vintage and modern axles fit just perfectly in our trailing arms so I doubt there is much dimensional difference
