Strange steering/throttle issue with Slash
I have a Traxxas slash that I haven't run in quite some time. I recently got a replacement VXL System for it and hooked it up today. Everything works great except for one annoying thing. when I turn full left it goes in reverse and when I turn full right it goes forward. I checked all the connections and so on. any tips/info would be great.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Strange steering/throttle issue with Slash
you ment switch ch2 to ch1 and ch1 to ch2 right? all that did was change steering to throttle and throttle to steeringEau Rouge wrote:Swap the radio plugs in your receiver (throttle and steering).

Re: Strange steering/throttle issue with Slash
You said steering was controlling throttle, right? It sounds like you have your channels swapped in your receiver.

IMO,could be a bad receiver. If your steering is working except when you turn FULL left and right, I would try another receiver (if available), see if the problem persists.

Sorry, I should of been more clear. What I ment was when I turned full left the wheels would turn left and it would go into reverse. but I got it figured out... that can certainly happen when the voltages get low enough, it's starts doing funny things to electronics. Interesting that you got a channel to channel interaction.

Wow, yeah, I didn't understand your initial problem, but that is an odd one. Low end electronics have a tendency to do strange things when low on voltage. That's definitely a new one for me, though.

Well, you aren't the Lone Ranger to have this happen!
I purchased a FlySky GT2 2.4 ghz for my current "rebuild" project and it did the exact same thing to me.
Here's what is really odd, though. The batteries in the transmitter showed to have excellent charge. Tried them in a Magnum Sport and they registered as HIGH on the charge because I thought that TX charge could be the issue.
I put a fully charged Lipo on the buggy, as well. Same thing happened, so it "seems" that I had good charge on everything.
I checked a couple of the other boards, etc., seeing if anyone had the same issue in the past. We almost thought it was the GoldPan creating the issue, but I took everything OUT and did it on a wooden table and it continued to occur.
Anyhow, we narrowed it down to the Transmitter because it was doing the same deal on multiple receivers.
It was frustrating, no doubt. I sent the TX back and received a new one yesterday and will be trying it out hopefully tomorrow.
