Seems like I have been working on this for 10 years. I've always had major glitching issues. So after a complete electronics transplant from an SC10 its about done. Just need a battery cup and a gear cover. This was a DS Conversion kit that I decided to use with a gold pan "A" stamp chassis that I stupidly drilled for a stealth transmission. And when I built the car I purposely kept the 6 gear in the car. Its a black idler 6 gear with outdrive bearings. There is just something about the sound of the 6 gear that I really like. I also like the lower gear ratio combined with the small tires. Its got a P2K2 pro motor. And the tires are shiny from running it on the carpet in the living room. I need to get it out on the street and scuff them up after I get the battery cup installed. The reason I picked the Nova body is because I actually have a 69 SS This is one of my favorite shelf cars and just wanted to share.

My DS blew the steering posts when I racer on carpet
Yeah last night I was cleaning out my box and posting stuff on ebay and I saw some brand new looking steering linkage. "What is this?" I thought. Its the brand new steering for the DS, never even had ball studs put in it.

That’s a good point! I love the 6 gear, but could never really put my finger on why. I always thought it was the sexy shape.(Yes I think the 6 gear tranny is sexy. Bring on the Dr. Freud remarks). A 32 pitch spur and pinion would be a great match. Nice car.
