Seems like I have been working on this for 10 years. I've always had major glitching issues. So after a complete electronics transplant from an SC10 its about done. Just need a battery cup and a gear cover. This was a DS Conversion kit that I decided to use with a gold pan "A" stamp chassis that I stupidly drilled for a stealth transmission. And when I built the car I purposely kept the 6 gear in the car. Its a black idler 6 gear with outdrive bearings. There is just something about the sound of the 6 gear that I really like. I also like the lower gear ratio combined with the small tires. Its got a P2K2 pro motor. And the tires are shiny from running it on the carpet in the living room. I need to get it out on the street and scuff them up after I get the battery cup installed. The reason I picked the Nova body is because I actually have a 69 SS This is one of my favorite shelf cars and just wanted to share.

My DS blew the steering posts when I racer on carpet
Yeah last night I was cleaning out my box and posting stuff on ebay and I saw some brand new looking steering linkage. "What is this?" I thought. Its the brand new steering for the DS, never even had ball studs put in it.

That’s a good point! I love the 6 gear, but could never really put my finger on why. I always thought it was the sexy shape.(Yes I think the 6 gear tranny is sexy. Bring on the Dr. Freud remarks). A 32 pitch spur and pinion would be a great match. Nice car.

I pulled this out of of a Monster Beetle I'm going to sell off. I've never seen one, or even heard of the brand for that matter. The MB was all period modified and hadn't been run in forever, so I assume this ESC is of the same era. I spent a lot of...
Hello, all. After lurking for a few months I've decided to sign up and join in!
Like many guys here it seems, I got into R/C when I was a kid in the early 80's. My first experience was seeing someone doing stunts with a Wild Willy in front of the...
:? well maybe. i don't have much info on this chassis yet. maybe an andy's prototype  the chassis is drilled for the 6 gear trans and traxxas trx10 (bullit) front bulkhead.

I see a few TPS Chain Gang guys ran one of the NOVA oval and sprint versions at the 1990 Dirt Oval Nats. I don't recall ever seeing one in person bitd.
I found an ad for a Team Pit Stop NOVA oval truck in a November 1992 issue of Radio Control Racer today, and would like to know if anyone has any info, pics, etc. of one of these trucks?
This is the only ad from TPS I've ever seen and have never...

I was just looking through an RCCA with an ad for the oval TPS Nova truck, and I've never actually seen one without the body.
I posted this scan in another thread but no one had any other pics of it. I'd like to see some body-off shots.
looks like a silly thing.......any comment about it ??
thanks !! :)
(I remember it was a Hong Kong product, used to be quite popular in my locality during that era ........ with Turbo Optima, it was crazy fast  )

Interested how well they work also. I know there's 2 versions, one won't do reverse and the more expensive version will. There's quite a few of them on the bay.
