T3 mip cvd axle pin>>>where to find them???

So i just got a set of mip cvds from a t3 and realized there is no axle pin where the wheel attaches too. None of the pins i have fit, which pins do I use???

they should be 1/16" x 3/8" long. I sometimes use the 7/16" long pins too depending on the wheels. they should be available from any good hardware source.

I also checked and the pin that holds the cvd to the axle also fits and works perfect on my SC10 wheels.

I have tried everything I can think of to get an axle roll pin out and I can't get it. I need some Ideas. I have no vise to hold the carrier so keep that in mind. I have never had such a problem before.

In your area, do you have a Harbor Freight or Dollar store in your area? I haven't done it yet, but one of the tips I saw/learned a long time ago and It would be a usedful tool.

it will requirie making some cuts so a cheap plier (singular) should...

Hello everyone,

Can someone please send me the post or tower link for the CVD pin rings? I swear, if I lose another pin holding together the CVD, I'm going to go insane. :evil:

I have two different CVD's. The b44's for my old is new RC10 and MIP...

Are the MIP shiny cvd bones the same as the regular bones except for the finish or is there supposed to be a performance advantage?

There is the standard shiny ones, which I believe is nothing more than the finish. Then there is the shiny aluminum ones, which are obviously different.

So, I fitted the MIP B2/B3 CVDs combined with 3/16 x 3/8 Avid bearings so I can run later 2.2 B3 wheels. I filed down some Losi axle spacers so that they were a nice fit between the roll pin & the bearing..... but on one run of the car I noticed one...

Thanks Mark for those links.... something to consider for sure 8)

The Losi spacer I have fitted on the outside (between outer bearing & roll-pin) But I did have to 'thin' them down.... firstly it was to a 'perfect' fit.... I have now thinned them...

Im looking for the cheaper, replacement part for kyosho la257 73mm universal swing shaft. Ill be outfitting a couple of lazer zx and a couple of yokomo 870c models. Im pretty sure 73s will work for wide front arm 870c,, and either 68 or 73 for lazer...

Question: Is it normal, when running the shiny CVDs that the dog bone end just barely engages the front dif cup? Ive got 2 rollers built, and the one using stock uj axles has the dog bones into the drive cups by a good 3/16 . So, I can set alot of...

Not sure about shock length. I was under the impression I could run droop at lower than level with wheels off the ground. Under full sag, full running weight,, with limited droop due to bone length, the sag would seriously cut into the over all...

What pin cushions are recommended for use with MIP cvds in a 10T?

I want to minimize wear on the outdrives, especially considering that the outdrives may become discontinued in the future.

Has anyone managed to wear out some original old outdrives anyway?
i can't say i've ever worn out a pair of stock outdrives. i destroyed some universals, though. :mrgreen:

the ones from my newly-retired Team Car are worn and chipped from hard...
