22 years after buying my first RC10, I just bought a new t4, (factory team edition). I was wondering if there are any mods to make right away. Stuff to do as I'm building the kit, stuff that is a pain to do later on, or parts to replace because they are sub-par in the kit.
Thanks for the advice,
Gin

brushless speed controller and motor
2.4 ghz transmitter and receiver
lipo batteries and a lipo charger.
stay away from the alloy bling parts if you are planning to race. also grab some extra wheels and tires so you have some options.other than that the truck should be pretty impressive right out of the box.

Re: Brand New RC10t4
I would boil the body mounts to make them more flexible. I would also pick up extra rear body mounts, the T4.1 frt arms (stronger), 30 degree caster blocks, RPM Ball Cups. If you would like I have a pretty good starting setup for that truck. Also on another blog site there is a guy called Cheddar Bob who sells a stl or alu anti-squat block for that truck (it works awesome).

Make sure to add the 1 1/2 oz. of weight to the rear. 30 deg. caster blocks upfront and use green slime when buiding shocks.
