well i had a gold celebration chassis car built to run but dismantled it to put the TBG chassis set on her. it all went together good except for the rear shock mount and long screw n bolt he provides for the motor plates...
thinking of getting marwank original optima and decals for it then having someone do up an art box scheme but with the CF look where the blue would be. i cant paint for $#!%
I really like these C/F mods to the Optima and the Ultima that I have seen from TBG. I wish there were some aftermarket rails too. This would lighten 'old porky' up a bit.

haha there used to be someone who made cf rails.have forgotten who though.when i saw them in the past i thought they were not needed but now that i have the full cf chassis set, i say why not.oh yea "answer" made them. i thought they would just strip out.but knowing they just sit on the shelf i should of grabbed a pair. heinsight means soooooo much lol
The original Optima was my first 1/10th scale buggy and I loved that thing to death (literaly). I raced it into the ground and by the time i traded up to an XLS CAT it was well worn out!
I have a new built 'stocker' and an all out vintage racer with just about every option house part fitted. Its a hoot to drive and even still races pretty darn well and certainly looks the bit going around the race track. I'd like to lighten it up and even work on ways to reduce the amount of turn in the car has on the slippery stuff. Maybe I need the C/F set and push the battery further rearward?? Hmmm.
I have a pair of those "Answer" rails - in a project box somewhere - remember paying a silly price for them - but like most of us I "just had to have them" for another of my Optima projects.
Some of this carbon stuff looks really very nice.
Cheers
Darryn
