how about mounting the turn-buckle on the front, but then there's no room for the shock

Caster blocks with offset ball stud mounting. This should solve the steering interference

My 4wd RC10 is now stripped down awaiting the new parts guys, well done :)

Here's a pic of how it was - it ran well but I can't wait to get it looking 'stock' with a normal uncut body ;)

Spend that money on a 3d printer for us, that will speed us up lol!

Not a lot of updates, just a mock up to play with cva plunge and carrier dimensions. For now you should probably enjoy your money elsewhere, cause it's "hurry up and wait" with shapeways

Plus 1 for the kit if you ever decide to release it.

Really like what you doing. What make of parts are you going to use for the front diff and pulley???
How strong are the FDM parts that you've had made. are they man enough to be used on a race car???

Keep up the good work and the post.

Andrew :D :D

The "release" will mainly be links to the parts needed, minus a couple g10 parts. Everything is slowly coming together but the big wait is with shapeways.

The idler and pulley can go a few different ways. I'm hoping Robinson racing can modify their steel idler for us to use, either with sdp.si pulleys or if Robinson can make us pulleys then that's even better. We will know soon hopefully

Ditto what Jeff said. Although we have had the idea of also offering it in kit form on ebay... One way or the other though, everything will be available for you to build your own.

The parts are not FDM, they're nylon SLS. I run nylon SLS arms on my mid motor RC10 and abuse the hell of of them, no failures yet. Plenty of other people are running nylon SLS parts with very few failures. In my opinion, they are *at least* as durable as molded nylon parts.

The front diff is a Stealth diff, and as Jeff said the input and output shafts will hopefully be from Robinson.

For those who may not have seen it in the other thread, I have purchased and received a 3D printer. This will accelerate the development of this project because I can print iterations of parts quickly on it, then just rely on shapeways for final confirmation and production.

And just to show I have been working on it too....

Not finalized... But fitting just fine 8)

Note the body can use worlds hole or front hole (both shown in use) without making new holes. If you want to run the world's post just cut or break off the nub on the tower. The tower hides under the stock body so with the body on it appears stock
