The second one was inspired by Brandon's Ultima he posted. I had to go another route when I also saw the sand rail buggy next to that lovely lady.

They both look great.
I think you'll have an easier time with finding a paint combination with the silver wheels. Polished aluminum just goes with everything. The red anodized wheels look good usually only with a similar, (red) or neutral color such as black, silver, white, or grey.
The wing looks good on a RC race buggy, but you don't see them on the real thing. If your goal is to make a sand rail replica, I'd leave the wing for another project.
The cage on the Ultima has a neat realistic look about it. In the 1:1 sand rail photo, just past the pretty girl, (who must be someone's grandmother by now) there is a buggy which has a similar look to an old school Ultima...
