those are from the short arm rc10's w/ the offset steering knuckle. you need the ones from the wide arm cars.mikedealer wrote:i have a bag full of these, but it seems like they need hole to pass the pin through, is that the 6218 model?

Re: The Andy's Family................
you really should do the full "catalogue" of Andy's stuff.....a few pages of what was available, ads, build examples, rare parts....it is inspirational as well as helpful to guiding others with their own builds....
Great Collection!

Re: The Andy's Family................
david started a thread in the scan archives about the andy's pro race kit. when i got mine, i scanned the instruction from it, and added it to his thread. there are other rc10 parts that aren't on the list, mainly the other chassis' that were available, front shock tower options, the wide front bulkhead, the 2 other front arm options, and the different bumpers and body mounts. but i'm sure i could put something together, for the rc10 stuff anyway.toybaron wrote:you really should do the full "catalogue" of Andy's stuff.....a few pages of what was available, ads, build examples, rare parts....it is inspirational as well as helpful to guiding others with their own builds....

Re: The Andy's Family................
Thanks for the link...I think the next logical step to really improve this site is to organize the reference material...There is so much great info and pics and advice but the chat room/threads structure isnt the easiest to use for that purpose. I have a ton of half-started projects, parts, etc that I want to move forward on but often get into a stall cause I want to do it right but dont really know what is right....an authoritative reference section would really help me---and I suspect many of us! My 2 cents anyway...
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: The Andy's Family................
you should think about starting some "build threads". there's plenty of members that can lead you in the right direction to help complete your cars. whether it be general info, suggestion, or give help in finding parts you might be looking for. not to mention, we all like to see what everyone is putting together.toybaron wrote:I have a ton of half-started projects, parts, etc that I want to move forward on but often get into a stall cause I want to do it right but dont really know what is right.

eventually..... this is what the "temple's rc10 tech forum" is gonna be for. there'll be a ton of info in there one day. all in one place.toybaron wrote:Thanks for the link...I think the next logical step to really improve this site is to organize the reference material...There is so much great info and pics and advice but the chat room/threads structure isnt the easiest to use for that purpose.

Re: The Andy's Family................
I love this thread. If only Andy still made a molded buggy chassis.
Re: The Andy's Family................
Very nice collection you have there!
What is the value of a Andy's Pro Chassis Kit? Or any of the others that you have?
How long ago did Andy stop making parts for the RC10. I've done a few searchs but can never come up with anything.

Re: The Andy's Family................
thanks. unfortunately, i had to sell every one of them due to health/financial reason. but, they're in the loving arm of serious collectors. so, i feel good about.
if you have a mint kit, you can figure $200 on up.
i'm not exactly sure when andy's stop making parts, but i'd have to say 92-93 or so. he still made bodies after that point, though.

Re: The Andy's Family................
this site needs a museum section where pics like these can be organized so people don't need to go through each an every thread to appreciat them and to beable to see how extensive the hobby was have an a&l section, andy's, stock rc10 a place where people can post there pics with a brief description and others can enjoy don't allow posts or questions from other people if they need answers they can pm to the poster. Its time to take the jewels out of the boxes. This has been a problem for the hobby for a long time trying to find info on some of the old company's that made this wounderful hop ups.

Re: The Andy's Family................
yeah, it would be cool to have a 'garage' showroom, kinda like the tamiya club one.....but if you are interested enough in something, it's awesome that you can pretty much find it here.

Re: The Andy's Family................
a couple years ago, we did try to start an rc10talk museum using a coppermine photo gallery. but, it was far from user friendly, and pretty much a complete pain in the you know what. so, we just ditched it.
