- radio is all in and initial settings set up
- motor still needs a pinion, that will go on after the esc settings are gone through, tx is set, motor timing is set up and all that.
- when its 100% ready to go i'll apply a chassis protective film to the bottom and 'maybe' make some kind of small skid plate for the very front to protect the kickup area bend ..
- tires are some old ones i had laying around theyre just stuck on not glued.
- went through the trans once to work on smoothing it out, thats going to take some more work.
- the truck sits 'real' nice compared to the original LS-2, wheelbase is better, steering and bump camber/steering is righteous, width of the axles f/r is spot on equal ... weight of the truck is a bit on the hefty side but not grossly overweight, havent weighed it but i'd say its an oz or 2 heavier than the typical race kit ..
.. so im happy with the results in how it looks and feels on the bench .. the proof will be in the pudding though when its actually run .. if its 'good' i might make a SC version hey hey, wheelbase would be about the only difference at around 13" vs the ST 11.65, and i would build an rpm gearbox for it vs the disco'ed proline ..
.. hope you enjoyed this 'fancified' LS2 mod truck build
