I have found another oddity of this Gallop compared to my Gallop with silver shock and my Progress and the parts Gallop with silver shocks. The. Gold shock Gallop has thicker rear shock towers. Now I have to think that this is a revision that was close to the last before the MK II or it was in a total wreck and had all this stuff replaced.
Recap Gold shocks, Front upper arms with mounting holes for MKII shocks, thicker rear shock towers this has me looking over this build with a fine tooth comb now.

Re: Kyosho/Cox Gallop MK I
My son broke out my Kyosho Gallop MK1 I picked up at a garage sale some 15 years ago. He is bugging me about getting it working, but I keep telling him that he really ought to sell it cheap and put the money into a more modern car. It needs a front lower suspension arm which I haven't been able to find (no part number) on ebay or google. The left side arm either melted and deformed on the car, or was replaced by a MKII version that doesn't quite fit. It ran well except the dog bone shaft on that side keeps popping out due to the problem. It's also missing the whale tail, the front bumper, some of the roll cage sides called "pipe guards" a, b, and c, but I think it is otherwise complete. I'm guessing it is still on its first set of tires and is in pretty good shape.
Does anyone know where I can get a part number for this?
for him to get a 4x4 Traxxis Rustler, Arrma Typhon or similar which he can get parts for when it inevitably breaks. To me, a car should be run and this Gallop will be unfixable on his budget should even another small part break.
