It was listed as a "Kyosho Mud Star" so I don't know how many folks were even aware it was out there. I got it pretty cheap (to me) and it is actually in really good shape. I dont think it was run much based on the condition of the tires/wheels and the chassis doesnt have any dings or scratches in it. I have a new in package full roll cage and bars kit that I'll put on it when I start the restore process. I'll need to get one of those resto wings and decal sets coming though.
The battery that came with it is "COX RC" so thats kind of an added bonus if you're into having everything period correct.
I remember the marketing video for the Gallop, it cornered on a dime but it just seemed slow compared to the Optima/Turbo Optima. I also remember some RC mag's review of the Gallop pretty much saying the same thing....that it cornered & handled great, but lacked that ability to break loose.
