Re: 12L, 12LW, 12LS, 12LC, 12L3, 12L4
You are correct Niki, the Nissan GTP is on the manual cover but the Corvette GTP is on the box art. I haven't really read the 12L manual to see what body is pictured (if there is even one pictured). The 12LW and 12LS boxes are just 12L boxes with a sticker denoting kit revision. Really any body offered by Associated would be correct but the manual body would be best.

Re: 12L, 12LW, 12LS, 12LC, 12L3, 12L4
Yes, that's true. Somehow I didn't think of box art at all.
Corvette GTP on the box until 12LC. I don't remember seeing body pictured in 12L manual.
If manual picture overrides box art...
12L - Corvette GTP
12LW - Nissan GTP
12LS - Nissan GTP

I just wanted to comment that this is a beautiful collection of later edition Associated 12th scale cars.

Thanks Chisai, Eventually I'll get a 12i and 12e. Tracking down all the parts for these was a pain but the majority of it is finished.
Niki - I think I'm going to go that route. Although not my favorite body I'll put a Nissan on both the LW and LS. I read the 12L manual last night and the corvette is the only body mentioned in the manual for coup class.

Re: 12L, 12LW, 12LS, 12LC, 12L3, 12L4
So now that some bodies are starting to roll in (only need 2 more) I've been wondering.....
For the 12LW should I cut the nubs off the chassis and use the short body mounts like the manual shows? Every 12LW that I've gotten is like the later LS just with the fixed front end. I'd hate to cut out and mount an original body for it to be "wrong"

Re: 12L, 12LW, 12LS, 12LC, 12L3, 12L4
Well, I hated doing it but I cut the chassis and used the small mounts like in the LW manual. I think the result came out great so I'm happy with it. I also replaced the spur gear with the proper 32 pitch gear.
Now the car is manual correct and I just need to cut out and mount the body.
12LW photos updated.

I just wanted to say that this topic is an excellent reference, I found it quite helpful to identify and educate myself about the RC12L3. Thanks for sharing!

Time to add the finishing touches finally
2x Associated Nissan GTP
2x Protoform P-35
1x Protoform Speed 12
1x Bolink GTP
I also have two TBG Corvette GTP's on the way. (I built two 12ths out of spare parts).

Cars updated with bodies...
Here are two more built from left over parts, I really like the fiberglass and black LS.

Only need 3 more to complete the entire line up. 12i, 12e and 12R5. I have most parts for the 12L, just need nylon and original tires/wheels.
