Remember it's either a runner or a shelfer. Everything else is just parts.

Thanks guys, Yeah its a neat setup, I like different things lol :)

lexus-5,

I missed that trans setup also :( no funds at the time lol, if i'm not mistaken it didn't go very high either :( I am trying to get someone to anodize a motor plate and front skid for now, I'm hoping to find some originals in new condition at some point lol.

Is your motor plate a HT part or a re anodized AE part?

That looks cool William. The HotTrick stuff usually doesn't do it for me, but this is pretty cool. 8)

Not trying to offend you, or anyone else that are hot trick collectors but that's what I dont get, all of their stuff is "engineered" like this, so why desire it?

No offense take an all, I can only answer for myself but, When i first got into RC back in the early 80's i only had the funding to buy basher type cars (Monster Beetle, Blackfoot, grasshopper ...), I remember looking at all the RCCA mags and drooling over all the custom parts and race cars, So for me i dont see the function of the part, I look at them the way i used to back in the 80's reading all the RCCA mags lol.

Ok i think i will be using a set of Lohas wheels on this build, I know they dont match the red but i might strip and polish he centers or get them anodized red. or if i come across another set of wheels i might use them lol

I found some tires in the Proline lot that fit the rims very well and look kinda oldschool, modern tires just dont do it for me, i know the modern designs work well on the track, but i like the big knobby look lol

The rims are setup without the spacers front and rear:
Proline 1023 Front Knobby 2.1 Rim
Proline 1025 Rear Champion 2.0-2.1 Rim

I have this on my graphite car....odd set up....if the top plastic nut is too tight ......its really really hard for the front wheels to turn......

Their bellcranks might be lousy but I got to give it up to Hot Trick for their trailing arm design. Then again the HT front arms that I had at one point didn't seem too strong...nice for the concours but not so nice for the race course. If it's going to be on a shelf I say use the HT bellcranks since the threads inside will let you stick the wheels positioned in any pose you want. :)

For other cars Hot Trick made some useful parts but for the RC10 I think the only part I'd use on a runner would be the wide nose.
