having problem with CVD's

I personally don't like the fuel tubing, as it can compress (because it is not stiff like a plastic spacer). I used to use this method, but had several dogbones pop out during hard crashes. The suspension would get pulled the wrong way in a crash, and the dogbone (or cvd in this case) would pop out, similar to what you are experiencing here. IF you can rustle them up, use plastic spacers. -Jeff

Do you know the parts tree number that associated has that I can buy? I'm clueless where to look.maybe you can direct me to a link or web page. Thank for all your help by the way.I just want this popping out issue to stop cause I don't want to damage it due to not being able to find the replacement part if the drive cup or CVD breaks.

i also have a question about cvd's but didn't feel a new thread was needed.

the newer cvd's with the plastic clip that holds the pin in place is excelent. much better than the older design. are all their cvd's in this fashion now? if i were to buy rc10gt cvd's would they be the old style or the new style? all the descriptions for cvd's for the older models show pictures of the older style cvd's. right now i have cvd's for an SC10 in my gt and they seem to be a tiny bit shorter and pop out occasionally. i would like cvd's specifically for a gt but with the white clips.

There are plastic spacers available from nearly every manufacturer. Just make sure they have a 1/8th in. inside diameter (to fit over the shock shaft). Most of the manufacturers use something in the 1/8th x 1/4 x 1/4 inch thick range. Any thinner, and you will be using allot of spacers. But really you can use any spacer (computer parts -stand offs, aluminum spacers) whatever, as long as it is stiff. Here is a link to an associated rebuild kit that has the most commonly used spacers in it. But like previously stated, you will likelly need several of these kits in order to get enough spacers to suit your needs. -Jeff
