So who else was throwing punches in the last few seconds? :?:
Not me. :( I totally forgot that it was ending tonight. Now I'm kicking myself. I was willing to go higher than what it sold for. Now I gotta go to bed mad. What an idiot I am.
And I left it alone to let you in and not bid it up

I've got two unpainted bodies, so the body isn't an issue. I've got a nice handful of NIB Jrx2 parts, so even getting a decent car would be nice. It's just that elusive brand new chassis and motor plate combo that I can't seem to find. And, that car had it!

I was putting the finishing touches on my High Lift last night as the auction ended. I even had the auction marked down in my day planner at work, I knew it was ending. I just started working on the High Lift and before I knew it, it was way too late.

Dumb, dumb, dumb. Oh well, it's not like I forgot a kid in car when it was 105 degrees out or something, but man do I feel STUPID! I've been looking for good Jrx2's for a few months now. That was the best one I've seen since I decided to pick one up.

Yup, I did.

Been trying to find the right car for a few years now, just watching as the prices have gone up and up and up. The $500+ kit over the holidays really freaked me out because I figured I'd never find a mint car with the prices getting that out of control.

There was a lot of bidding at the end, but I went in pretty tall to see what would happen. It didn't look like there were any heavy hitters going after it after the fact, so I figured none of you guys were involved. I knew Scott would go big if he was paying attention.

It looks like it needs a few small odds & ends to be perfect—wing, shock collars, screw kit, etc—but it's about as close to mint as I have seen in a built car in a long time. I'm guessing the body is hacked up having been cut out and mounted by a 12-year old 20 years ago, so I'll start searching for one of those, too. I have my build in mind already, with electronics and motor. Should be a really fun finish.

I wonder if it still has that original JRX-2 smell from the rubber and plastic pieces, too? 8)

Cool Doug, I'm glad someone on here got it and for a good price. Now I feel a lot better. 8)

Jay, thanks man! The chassis seems to be the key ingredient for me. What's weird about these Jrx2s is that a NIB kit, or a new built kit gets pretty big bucks. Yet, a used one is still very affordable, and I've been able to pick up plenty of NIB parts for less than original retail price. So, maybe I just need to keep gathering parts and restore the beater I already have. I've already got some of the harder parts to find, a new body, new wheels and tires, the stuff that gets beat bad on used cars.

Asso_man, here comes a PM.

I need to see what I have. I seem to remember I had a stock chassis under my all RPM converison. If I can find some else to put in it's place like a Pro chassis, it is yours. Again, I just have to get my stuff squared away, as all the good stuff is in storage (but accessible).

Jay,
Did you ever get the RPM bulkhead for the front of your full rpm build? if not, PM me

Doug,
I should heve the wing setup if you need one, both the straight and the v-wing styles. If you come across some of the original style thin(and fragile) shock clamps snatch 'em up, I have not been able to find any NIP.

I think so, honestly I can't remember. Didn't I also get a set of front arms from you as well? I need to figure out what I have as someone else has arms if I don't have them already.

Thanks!
