I know his company is doing some design work for an rc company: read about that on his site. The link is in his signature I believe. Not sure what happened: one moment he and his buddy were still talking of joining the VOnats and showing off cars to take and then... dead silence. Pitty

Wow, very nice build – no klunker there, my friend. :D I really like the slammed body with the retro paint job. I may have to dump the B4 body on my runner for a slamo’d ProTech.

BTW, what’s up with the rear of the chassis?

I run the it a lot in the yard and in the driveway messing with the neighbors dogs . So I took an old hacked up chassis , and cut the back end off of it and made a skid plate, to keep from tearing the power coat off the chassis any worse :( (I wish I would have thought to do it before I ever ran it). On concrete the 5.5 tends to want to do nothing but keep the front end in the air and the rear on the ground

(By the way, anyone that was wondering about the name change for the thread, I just thought it was a better fit)

Here is a pic. Its not something that stays on it all the time, just something I came up with to protect it from concrete.

check out what asso-man did to keep the front end down (much easier if you plan on steering too)

You talking about the lead, that wouldn't even come close to holding the front end down when running it on concrete, if you just hammered the throttle

I'm talking about the lead and all the other things he did to make it handle well.
The track we raced at has fresh cut gras and delivers lots of grip so the occasional lifting of front wheels is a very familiar sight. Hammering the gas and wheely for several meters is fun for a while but doesn't really help much in putting down some descent result.
Ofcourse you do what you like best, it's a beautiful project and I'm not out on putting you down.
I thought you wanted to get it out to the track and compete, so wanted to offer some advise. Sorry if it came over harsh.

Thanks for the help. But the sad thing is, the car may not ever see a track. They let the offroad grow up, and I don't think there is anyone in my town that likes vintage rc but me.
