Witch product did you use exactly to remove the previous paint ?
I want to repaint a complete body, but I do not know any efficient method to remove the paint on lexan.

Are these See's wheels or JPS? Seem to remember a picture of Shodog painting the insides of JPS wheels, could be confused.

I'm curious how you managed to remove only one colour and keep the edges so neat?

Was the black another type of paint which wasn't affected by the fuel?

I think any Nitro fuel will work, I don't know if different % work better than others, the one I used shown below is 20%.

Thanks, I have to say I wouldn't trade this model for any other RC10 out there, I know some will say it's only a CE and worth little compared to some others but to me for a reason I don't really understand it has become a defining model within my collection.

Thanks Ed, the gold was applied with much lighter coats so therefore (with a bit of care) was removed more easily than the black.

Peuge,
there are many different types of paint used on RC cars. Fuel will work for some paints, not for others. It really depends on what type of solvent is used with the paint.

Good examples:
- some newer paints for nitro cars specifically say fuel-resistant
- pactra uses an agressive type of thinner which eats into the lexan; no way to get it cleaned without eating the lexan or at best leave a dirty shade and brittle lexan.
- old kyosho paint uses the same thinner type as pactra
- Tamiya switched to waterbased paints I guess around 10 to 15 years back, no idea on what it was before
