I never liked the 3 spoke rims so I sold those off years ago. Sorry.

Cheers for the photos J. See Schumacher used the same box for both the electric & Nitro versions. Unusual move, obviously didn't expect to sell many...
Schumacher, I may have one set of 3-spoke Storm 2000 wheels going spare (rears I think). If not, your best bet is to PM Incredible_Serious as he sold them to me.

Now with new rims - what do you prefer, white disc wheels or black spoked?

I would go for the three-spoke wheels.
The extra holes in the chassis are for the servo-mounts.

If you're not going to paint the shell I'd say stay with the black rims, otherwise it really depends on what colourscheme you use

Well, I'd like to paint the shell, but I'm rubbish at spraying. I calculated the other day how much it would cost me to get all my clear shells professionally painted at £25 each...and had a minor heart attack..........so it stays clear.

Re: Cougar 2000 carbon fibre tub chassis
My local model shop has some retro Schumacher 3 spokes NIP on the shelf! I think they are for the CAT2000 though. They are for buttons too!schmacher wrote:hey bormac you wouldn't have any 3 spoke rims would you ?
If anyone wants them, let me know.
Re: Cougar 2000 carbon fibre tub chassis - STORM 2000
Does anyone have the manual for the storm 2000 - or any pics of a built up truck?
Thanks,
Andy.

Fakiee,
Some Storm 2000 photos on my tamiyaclub page here. I have a manual somewhere also, but it's only a 2 sheet of paper addendum to the Cougar 2000 manual....

Cheers Ian, nice looking truck. Just got one but it needs lots of parts, doubt I will be able to restore it cause the gearbox is missingminichamps11 wrote:Fakiee,

I think the tri-spokes are rare as is the whole car (contrary to some comments in TC)
Thanks,
Andy

Re: Cougar 2000 carbon fibre tub chassis
The gearbox is straight from a Cougar 2000 if I remember correctly. If you've got all the Storm 2000 unique bits, you'll be able to pick up a battered C2K to finish it off for little money as they're not very popular.....

Thanks Ian, might have to go down this route as it could work out cheaper in the long run - not looking for a replica, just a built up truck. I can use Fibre lyte for parts as they seem to cater for lots of the 2k & 95t stuff.minichamps11 wrote:The gearbox is straight from a Cougar 2000 if I remember correctly. Re: Cougar 2000 carbon fibre tub chassis
I am looking for the rear wheels for my Nitro Storm 2000. The Smooth dish ones.
Anyone have a set? I have some NIP fronts to trade.
I also have the manual if anyone needs scans.
Cheers
