Very nice cougar there Jeroen ! I also have the complete kit and single parts yours is based on ! I am currently thinking of building one based on the tub, i'd therefore be interested in trading the comcom parts for c2k parts to build one.

I'm not after any COMCOM parts, but if either of you have any genuine Schumacher C2K carbon fibre parts for sale, please let me know

Thanks Jeroen, i am also viewing some on ebay, they are very cheap actually. But on the other hand i'd actually like to build one based on new parts.jeroen206 wrote:here is everything you need

Re: Cougar 2000 carbon fibre tub chassis
My new project
Jeroen, have you got any pictures of the top of your old Carbon Fibre Cougar? I'd be interested to see what you used to support the rear upper chassis. I had to cut a chassis "gate" up to make two rear supports. Also I noticed I've got some empty screw holes in the front upper & lower chassis that are used on your old car. I've marked up the ones I mean. Can you remember what they were for? The forward pair must be the servo, the other pair of holes are for the chassis gate with the battery clip on.

hi ian
It is looking great that Tubchassis .
I really don,t know what the use was off these holes.
But i had a one piece upperdeck on my Cougar2000.

Re: Cougar 2000 carbon fibre tub chassis
Got a bit further with the tub project. Fitted Lunsford turnbuckles & built the gearbox with original diff outdrives for the old-school tubular alloy driveshafts. Trying to decide whether red or silver parts look better. Everything is/will be NIP except the motor plates - both are more used than I'd like but I can't find a new one anywhere

Re: Cougar 2000 carbon fibre tub chassis
I would use the red motorplate and some plastic driveshafts (U1511)
