I only have problems with reproducing rare parts that already exist, no problems with making new ones that never existed. That chassis looks pretty awesome.

Oh dang, why did I even type that, my response is......

You know, I'm a Brooklyn boy myself (Greenpoint.) Did you know that during WWII there was a Navy PT boat permanently stationed at Newtown Creek to protect local industry from attack via the Hudson? Anyway, since my job in TV is to design "phony" versions of corporate logos, government ID's, and product trademarks, I thought I would warm up this morning over coffee with a fun version of your cool design. Enjoy.

I didn't know that. Cool factoid.

This isn't my design though, it's from the band The Melvins. And, they took this design from Kiss, you know the Kiss Army. I'm a big fan of The Melvins and have always liked the logo, that's where I took my screen name from.

Careful when you say that around me, whenever anyone shows the slightest interest in them, I tend to go nuts with the video posts in hopes of converting another person over to the "good" side.

They're not for everyone, that's for sure. But those who are into them are usually really into them. Like me. :D They tend to be pretty heavy. They're always doing new things with each new album. They've been at it for 25 years now.

Here come the videos,

One of their more well known songs:

From the same album as the other song, but with the current line up with two drummers:

One of their more mellow and funky jams, followed by another older song:

And, old school Melvins. This song is called Boris, the band Boris took their name from this song:

Well, I gave it a shot, and I DID enjoy Nirvana, but I think my musical tastes are frozen in the past. Now I will put on Sinatra...

:x Oh man. Different strokes for different folks. You and I have very different strokes. That's cool though, I know most of the music I'm in to is not for everyone, not by any means.

I'm glad our tastes coincide on most things: RC10s, Brooklyn as a creative nerve center, and Asteroids.

And Kubrick! I love 2001. I got to see it in an old timey theater over in Jersey City a few years back and Keir Dullea (the guy in arf's avatar for those who aren't fans) did a little question and answer and introduction before they started the film. It was awesome, he had some good Kubrick stories to tell, he said Stanley was the best director he had ever worked with. That film is a masterpiece.
